HYPER - DX
is intended for both the amateur and professional flyer. A good aerodynamic design,
easy and simple installation, plus high quality of manufacture insure minimal prep time and
great flight features - it’s all HYPER-DX! (Pic. 1)
HYPER-DX requires some assembly, but the high standard of prefabrication make this a breeze.
These instructions are kept to a minimum, since most flyers will may choose to install equipment
in their own tried and tested way. (Pic. 2)

Kit Contents.
Carefully unpack the HYPER-DX and familiarize yourself with the varios parts. Please note that there are
two different types of brass control horns. One type has a button top and will be used for the two ailerons,
while the other two have no button on top, and will be used for the flaps. This allows the flaps to be angled
forward to line up with the hinge line and thus allows more travel.
There are three (3) fiberglass servo covers, two (2) for the flap servos and one (1) for the rudder servo. There
are two (2) carbon fiber servo covers for the aileron servos. Please note there is a left and a right aileron servo
cover. Depending on your preference, the rudder servo control rod can externally mounted or hidden.
Equipment Installation Diagram.

Servos installation.
Ailerons/flaps.
Drill holes for aileron/flap horns. See illustration 5. Insert the horns and fix them in place using epoxy.
Mount the servos in the wing and also fix in place using epoxy. Adjust the lengths of the aileron and flap
push rods and connect them to the servos, see illustration 5. The servos may now be covered by taping
the servo covers in place.

Rudder.
Cut out slot in the rudder for the plastic horn and CA it in place (illustration 6). Mount
the servo into the fin and epoxy in place. Adjust the length of the rudder pushrod, bend as shown
in illustration 6. Connect the servo with the pushrod to the rudder.
Use tape to secure the servo covering plate over the servo.
RUDDER INSTALLATION

Elevator.
Cut out the slot in the tail boom for the elevator servo. See illustration 7. Mount the servo in the
tail boom and fix it in place using epoxy.

Cut out slot in the elevator for the plastic horn and CA it in place (illustration 8). Adjust the length
of the elevator pushrods, bend as shown in illustration 8. Connect the servo with the pushrod to the
elevator.

Motor mount.
Drill the mounting holes in the motor mount as per motor manufacturer’s instructions. Slide the motor
into the removable nose cone.
Motor Battery Plate Mount.
You will need a balsa sheet 5-6 mm thick, 2 mm thick plywood and Velcro. Cut the balsa and
plywood to 120 x 45 mm. Epoxy the plywood on top of the balsa sheet. Once dry shape the balsa, as
per illustration 9. Epoxy the Velcro onto the plywood. The other half of the Velcro is adhered to the
rechargeable battery. Epoxy the mount into the fuselage as per illustration 10.

Center of Gravity.
The location of the CG is approximately 60-70 mm back of the leading edge of the wing.
The CG location can be regulated by moving the power battery location forward or backwards in the
fuselage, as per illustration 11.

| Recommended Control Travel: |
